For the first time the prestigious award for contemporary art TERNA — the Italian analog of the British Turner Prize — brings the exhibition of winners to Moscow. The show that has already been successfully presented in Italy, New York and Shanghai includes sculptural objects, multimedia installations, video art and photography by 16 artists — TERNA Award Winners 2010. TERNA Prize was established in 2008 by the leading energy company in Europe with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Cultural Heritage of Italy. Each year young artists are given a certain topic somehow connected with energy. Winners are determined in the following categories: «Gigawatt» (for artists under 35 years), «Megawatt» (for artists age 35), «Young Galleries» (for artists from 18 to 23 years) and «Prize Online» (by voting in the Internet).

In 2012 for the first time Russian artists can apply for TERNA Prize — loading a portfolio on www.premioterna.it, they get their own virtual exhibition space and become part of the global art network where more than 9000 cultural professionals are already registered.

The new nomination specially established for Russian artists this year is called «Connectivity Moscow,» and the Director of Multimedia Art Museum Olga Sviblova entered the jury. The link to the Russian page of the site can be found on the site of MAMM — www.mamm-mdf.ru. The theme of the competition in 2012 — «In and out site. Without the network. Territory for art».
