When people ask me to write for some press-release «what was it I wanted to say» in this or that cycle I usually manage to do it quite quickly. To come up with a few words about Robertino Loretti, Jamaica, about how I make masks at home, about some kind of manufactory, — all this is a piece of cake for me... But with «Simple Movements» I really feel a speechless stupor. What can one write about them?

When people ask me to write for some press-release «what was it I wanted to say» in this or that cycle I usually manage to do it quite quickly. To come up with a few words about Robertino Loretti, Jamaica, about how I make masks at home, about some kind of manufactory, — all this is a piece of cake for me... But with «Simple Movements» I really feel a speechless stupor. What can one write about them?

That every summer I admire these ladies like the Japanese admire the Sakura? That it is very hard for them to descend each year from a very steep bank of the Volga to the beach? (Even though who would believe it looking at how they move?). That the one that is always at right in the shot wants her granddaughter to become my future wife and carefully controls my female entourage? That gymnastics and hula-hoop are for the soul, while the main occupation in summer are — 1) weeding, 2) smoking and 3) waiting for the passing three-deckers, because they leave higher waves...

— Musa Petrovna, you may laugh, but you and I are accepted for the Moscow Biannual... The phone answered something inarticulate, something like «Oh, My God... Oh, Oh, Hm. ..»

It seems this dialogue explains everything.
