‘Singular Room’ is an installation co-created with various artificial intelligences. Aksana Pruttskova invited them to imagine what future apartment-museums of human life might look like. Initially the artist discussed this idea with language models (YandexGPT, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and others), which selected exhibits and explained their choices (excerpts from these conversations are presented in the installation).

In this way a window, a carpet, a telephone (the AI ​​described the latter as a symbol of tense anticipation), etc. appeared, but for example no bed was provided. Since a bed is meant for sleeping, and dreams, according to the AI ​​(let’s just accept this argument), are a deeply personal topic, there can be no bed in a museum of human everyday life, where there is no room for individuality.

After creating an inventory of the future museum’s exhibits, Aksana Pruttskova, together with the AI, created technical specifications for visualising the concepts, which she sent to other neural networks (Kandinsky, FLUX.2, Nano Banana, and others). They generated images that served as references for the installation’s elements.

Then the artist asked the AI ​​what to call the resulting project, and it replied: “Singularity Room”. In the planned installation – an impersonal mould of human everyday life – the AI ​​saw a living space in a hypothetical era of technological singularity, when the differences between humans and machines disappeared.
